Sandra Dean (MBACP) Integrative Counsellor and Life Writing coach
Hello, my name is Sandra Dean and I am a BACP registered integrative counsellor, and Life Writing coach. I have been professionally trained in person-centred, Cognitive Behavioural and Psycho-dynamic theories, so that I can use the relevant therapies for each individual I see. I also offer Expressive Writing Therapy, Life Writing workshops and the use of Mindfulness. Writing has been a therapy for me, so I offer my workshops for individuals and groups.
I can help you to make the most of life, to achieve better coping mechanisms for mental health, and any other things you wish to achieve, I have suffered with mental health issues and have worked with clients of a local charity – a homeless shelter – as a counsellor.
My room is in Rayleigh Essex, but I can also make arrangements to see my clients at their home (10 mile radius of Rayleigh, Essex). Please contact me to find out more. *Please note that Rayleigh attendance is NOT suitable for those with allergies to cats*
To ensure I work to the highest standard, I continue to take part in regular training and studies.
I am fully insured with public liability insurance.
I have also been DRB (police) checked for my work as a counsellor at a local homeless shelter where I volunteered, so you can be sure you are in safe hands. I am also completely confidential.
My specialisms are working to beat depression, anxiety, stress, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder, but I can work with any mental health issues. I also specialise in relationship issues, family dynamics, self-esteem and confidence issues and working with life changes that are all too often unwanted and negative. I have a lot of experience working with homelessness, and associated adversities as well.
I have campaigned for years against the stigma of mental health issues, and promote understanding, empathy and knowledge. I have written two memoirs based on mental health and a self-help book for overcoming depression and anxiety, and am well known in the field of mental health.
