Sandra Bøjen-Taylor - MA, MBACP (Accred)
My experience and skills enable me to develop a relationship of trust quickly. You will meet challenges collaboratively and creatively, building on your personal resources.
The relationship between you and your counsellor is the key to a productive outcome in therapy. Clients do not all fit into one particular way of working or theoretical orientation. I am trained in Integrative Psychotherapy and work with numerous theories and techniques, offering a flexibility not always found with counsellors working from just one approach. I am also a fully qualified EMDR Therapist, working towards accreditation with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)UK & Ireland and BWRT (Brain Rewiring Recursive Therapy) - cutting edge interventions treating unresolved trauma and phobias effectively and quickly.
I don’t not offer a "quick" yet often temporary "fix". I work with the whole person, exploring all areas of your life and your story. I will give you the time, care, space and safety to explore and conclude your issues effectively and completely. Offering insights and alternative perspectives as well as cutting edge interventions that have developed within the field of psychotherapy where appropriate.
I have been in practice for over 18 years working with a whole range of diverse issues. I have also worked as a counsellor for the mental health charity Mind, The Youth Service, a large FE and HE College as student and staff counsellor, as a group therapist for people with eating issues and also currently a Breast Cancer charity providing group support for women with secondary breast cancer. I also work closely with Orchard Barn Holistic Therapies in Stallingborough - helping them with regular workshops covering topics such as Self-care, Stress, Sleep and Relationship with food.
Her Keelby practice is a beautiful old house overlooking the village green, with a small, private and relaxed study. Keelby is 10 minutes drive from Great Coates, 20 minutes from New Waltham and Brigg, and 25 minutes from Louth.
I am insured, on the BACP Register, Accredited with the BACP which means I have to attain higher professional standards, and hold a current Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (May 2019)
I am passionate about working with people to improve their lives and resolve conflict, and feel I have a wealth of experience and attributes to offer. I offer a service second to none in the area - and will endeavour to make you feel totally comfortable and at ease from the very first meeting.
