About me

VIDEO SESSIONS available DURING CV19

Feeling Isolated and domestic difficuties can arise during these very difficult times. Talking to somebody independent can help.

Central London life can be exciting and can be stressful. Enjoying your work and life/relationships is critical to feeling good about yourself. I work with you to help you become aware of what holds you back and to manage obstacles more effectively.

As a Senior Accredited Psychodynamic Psychotherapist I offer CBT, EMDR, Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT) and couple therapy as brief or open-ended work to suit you. My practice offers a conveniently located in Central London.

I welcome clients with a range of personal difficulties.  For some, stress, low self-confidence, relationships, divorce, bereavement or work or family can cause daily difficulties.

My specialise area is working with life and work stress, and any relationship issue. This is further supported uniquely by working parent support. As your counsellor I get to know you, develop an understanding of your circumstances, listen to what you have to say offering support and insight. My professional and confidential approach helps you to look at things clearly, when very often when things seem confusing and you 'can't see the wood for the trees'. Talking with someone without any agenda, or investment in your friends and family network, can be invaluable

When can counselling help?

While it can be really helpful to talk to someone you know and trust, you may feel more comfortable confiding in someone who’s removed from your personal situation and is therefore more objective. Also, giving space and time to talk may help you to work through the issues concerning you.

I use a integrative approach using psychodynamic, humanistic and CBT approach in which I provide a safe and nonjudgmental environment where all aspects of one's life are welcome.

The process starts with an initial consultation, which is completely confidential. The purpose of the initial consultation is to see how well we work together. It is an opportunity to explore the areas for which you seek personal therapy. I will further discuss confidentiality and address any questions you may have. We then decide on a working plan for the therapy.

Session details

The purpose of our first meeting is to meet and agree on the focus of the work and any issues that may get in the way. We agree our working plan. Following this I typically work on a weekly basis for an agreed period of time for a 50 minute session. For couples I generally work at mutually convenient times for a two hour session.. Many people feel stuck in their situations when they initially come to meet with me; our work is then to create new ways of understanding and addressing situations, even when the circumstances might seem very limiting. I also offer telephone counselling and online counselling. My fees vary depending on location and time of day. I offer a few concession to those on lower incomes and students.
