About me
I am an authentic, compassionate, and empathetic therapist with strong person-centred attitudes. Everyone’s experiences are valid, and every story deserves to be heard. My own journey has shaped the way I hold space for others. I understand first hand what it is like to feel unheard, to struggle with substance use, and to face the stigma that comes with the word “addiction.” Too often, people are seen only through the lens of their struggles rather than as whole, complex, beautiful individuals.
In our work together, I will walk alongside you, creating a space for collaboration toward moments of liberation, however small or significant they may be. I invite you to speak freely, without fear of judgment, expectation, or assumption. My practice integrates both body and mind, working somatically to explore how experiences manifest not just in thoughts but within the body itself. Together, we will stimulate awareness, and self-compassion, supporting you in your unique trip towards understanding and a move towards true healing.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have over 25 years of lived experience in substance misuse with multiple years sobriety
I am trained in auricular acupuncture. This is proven to reduce stress hormones, bringing balance to the day. This can be integrated into the sessions if it feels right and comfortable for you.
I am training in breathwork facilitation, embodied in social justice. Certified by the UKBA
I also will have a BA (Hons) in counselling and psychotherapy
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

As I have said everyone has their own story that is valid and has to be heard. I look to break the dynamic of power in the therapy room. I have been working on my own healing which now allows me to be comfortable in my darkness which allows me to invite you into yours, where the real light is.
