About me
With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by BAME communities, those navigating systematic racism, neurodivergence, and the LGBTQ+ community, I offer a gentle, inclusive space where you are never "the other" or an outsider. Belonging begins with you, as we reconnect with your inner strength and celebrate your unique journey, step by step.
I am a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), practicing since 2018. My approach to therapy is highly adaptable, ensuring that I meet the unique needs of each individual. Whether you’re looking for surface-level interventions to address the connection between mind and body or seeking deeper exploration of emotional and psychological issues, I tailor therapy to align with your personal goals.
Working with international clients at Harley Street and providing care for corporate clientele at Priory Organisation has significantly enriched my understanding of diverse cultures and the complexities they bring to the therapeutic process. This exposure has ignited my curiosity to learn more and develop a more inclusive approach to therapy.
Alongside CBT, I draw from third-wave approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), which allow me to create a holistic, integrative therapeutic experience. For those facing more complex issues, I utilize schema therapy, psychodynamic principles, and attachment theory to explore deeper layers of core beliefs, emotional wounds, and behavioral patterns. This helps clients work through long-standing struggles such as emotional deprivation, shame, or abandonment that may be rooted in early life experiences.
With over 10 years of experience in primary and secondary mental health services, I have worked across various settings, including forensic units, personality disorder services, acute wards, and neurological rehabilitation. My diverse experience enables me to provide high-quality, personalized care in both private and professional contexts.
I am able to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that any potential barriers to understanding are addressed.
I believe that being a great therapist means never putting down the mirror. Through personal therapy and ongoing self-reflection, I challenge my own biases and blind spots to show up as the best version of myself for you. Think of it like tuning an instrument, I ensure I’m always in harmony so we can make the music of your healing journey together. No need to change who you are, you are good enough as you are, and I’ll meet you exactly where you are. Let’s start this journey together.
