About me

Hi, I'm Samia, I offer Counselling and Psychotherapy in London and Online.

We all have times in life when we need support.

Often we can face difficulties in understanding ourselves, trusting others or communicating our needs. You may need support in resolving conflict and alleviating distress or wish to develop a better understanding of yourself.

I genuinely believe if you are ready to receive the support and structure you need, you can make a change.

It is important you feel at ease and my priority is for us to create a shared confidential space, where you can share whatever is troubling you and gain a deeper understanding of yourself.

I describe my approach as relational, believing your difficulties can be understood through exploring your relationship with yourself and others around you. Thus, exploring the ebb and flow of our unique relationship will be central to the therapeutic effectiveness of our work together.

I will support you in navigating your internal world through using my skills, knowledge, intuition, humour and empathic challenge.

Please call or email me with any questions, or to arrange an initial session.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • MSc Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy
  • Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA)
  • Diploma in Clinical Transactional Analysis
  • BA(Hons) Business Studies
  • Registered member of the UKCP and I abide by their ethical framework.

I have worked in various clinical and charity settings over the years, providing individual and group therapy to survivors of abuse & trauma, oppressed & marginalised groups and sufferers of severe anxiety and depression.

I completed my psychotherapy training at the Metanoia Institute, qualifying as a Clinical Transactional Analyst Psychotherapist. As an integrative therapist, I draw on various modalities, including cognitive, psychodynamic and body-orientated, believing each client deserves their own individualised therapy.

While I have experience working with a wide range of psychological and emotional issues, my particular interests lie in the dynamics of power in relationships, mostly within the context of abuse, trauma, belonging, culture and identity.  My work is grounded in a philosophy of inclusiveness and embraces all cultures and identities.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UK Council for Psychotherapy

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
