If you are reading this then you may be going through a difficult time or perhaps life has felt difficult for a while. You may feel stuck, not know which way to turn or, you may want to have therapy to gain a better understanding of yourself.
I feel it is important to say that most of us will struggle at some time in our lives either with current difficulties or with events from the past. Past events can catch up with us over time and make us feel low, anxious or both. This seldom means that we are mentally ill but it can make just getting through the days and weeks really tough. It can impact on us and on our lives in ways we had never imagined.
Difficulties can arise in our relationships, in our work, in our studies and in our play. We may stop doing things we enjoy, we may stop socialising and we may notice we feel more physically unwell than we used to.
It can be difficult to talk and share with family and friends. We may want to protect them or we fear they may advise us when what we want is someone to truly listen to us and understand.
Looking for therapy is the first step towards making some kind of change. It can feel daunting and it takes courage.
It is important to find a Therapist who feels like a ‘good fit’ who is right for you. I believe in the quality of the therapeutic relationship being fundamental to its effectiveness.
I am qualified and experienced Integrative Therapist who has provided therapy for hundreds of Clients and Patients within the Public and Charitable Sector over the past 10 years. I have worked with a wide range of people seeking help with a huge variety of difficulties.
I will not judge or advise you however I will help you explore the issues you bring to the sessions, enabling you to get to know yourself better, to perhaps see life with more clarity and I will do my upmost to empower you to make the decisions which you feel are right for you about your life. I will support you because I will be alongside you as we look at your life, I will be ‘in your corner.’
I work in accordance with the BACP ethical framework and receive regular Supervision from senior and highly experienced Therapists.
I work using a range of theoretical approaches depending on the issues presented. These include Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic and Transactional Analysis and Transpersonal models.

Each Face to face Counselling Session costs £40 per 50 minute session.
Course/Group fees are variable depending on the course, therefore cost provided upon application.
In addition to the therapy room I offer walk and talk sessions for those who are keen to combine physical activity and a connection to the natural world around us with their Therapeutic session. Some find this approach less intense than the therapy room.
I am also able to offer courses to groups.
