About me

Counselling and Psychotherapy for Individuals, Couples and Families.

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and I work with individuals, couples and families at my Winchester and Southampton based private practice settings. I offer effective counselling therapy both short term and solution focussed, as well as longer term psychotherapy.

I also provide an online, telephone or video-call confidential counselling service.

Counselling for individuals and relationship counselling for couples can be helpful at any stage in life, there doesn't need to be a crises in order to seek support.

My practice provides counselling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples in a supportive environment which is professional, confidential and respectful of individual pace and needs. The therapy I offer is non-judgemental and non-directive; you decide whatever you want to discuss, process and explore. The counselling experience provides an opportunity for self development and understanding, building on your own particular strengths and enabling an increased sense of overall well being.

My approach is open, honest and supportive. The therapeutic relationship is caring and accepting; this I believe is fundamental to the counselling process and how I work. This is your time to move towards and explore anything you want to achieve or understand. My aim is to help you develop clarity by listening and providing insight and support, enabling an increased sense of understanding of your thoughts and feelings, when faced with feeling distressed, anxious, depressed, confused or unable to cope.

Therapy is an opportunity for you to explore new coping strategies, make choices about change and develop a deeper awareness and better understanding of self.

If you would like to make an appointment or have any questions please feel free to contact me on 07944 768022 or by email for further information.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
