Hello, I am empathic, attentive and curious about you and what brings you to therapy.
I offer you the opportunity to talk about your thoughts and feelings in a safe and confidential setting, either in person in Hove or online.
As a qualified Integrative psychotherapist, I offer long and short term psychotherapy. I have additional qualifications in using the Arts in the therapeutic space, if this is something you would like to engage with.
I can provide help to men and women experiencing a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment issues, life transitions, single and step-parenting, and the psychological and emotional impact of the menopause on women and their families (a long neglected issue).
Training, qualifications & experience
- Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy
- Certificate in the therapeutic application of the Arts in therapy and education
- Diploma in nursing (RGN)
As a qualified nurse with over 25 years experience, mainly in an Emergency setting, I have had the privilege of witnessing all stages of life, from before birth until after death. This has enabled me to gain a deep insight into the psychological and emotional experience of being human, often in response to unexpected physical injury or illness.
I have come to believe that we cannot hope to separate psyche (mind) from soma (body) if we are to lead truly healthy lives. This belief in the importance of integration influenced my decision to explore the path of becoming an integrative psychotherapist. An integrative approach allows for a dynamic and flexible way of working, drawing on various different therapeutic models so that the therapy can be tailored to suit the clients individual needs, rather than there being a “one size fits all” approach.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
