About me

Counsellor/Wellbeing Coach/Eco-therapist

I see clients in person in:

  • Castle Bytham, Nr. Stamford and Grantham
  • Deeping St. James, Nr Spalding and Peterborough
  • Duddington, Nr Stamford

In person, online and phone consultations are offered as well as walk & talk therapy outdoors.

To me it's vital that everyone's "story" is given due consideration.

My guiding principle is to help you find peace and stability in your life so that you can be yourself, access a kinder mind and grow in confidence.

I provide a free-from-judgement space where you can explore your ideas, feelings and limiting thinking patterns.

Collaboratively, we can talk about what is troubling you, think about how your present way of living may have been impacted by earlier occurrences, and come up with steps and a fresher perspective so that you regain a sense of empowerment in your everyday life.

I will customise the therapy to meet your requirements using methods from many therapeutic philosophies, including person-centred talking counselling,  creative/CBT activities, nature-based walk and talk therapy, sand tray therapy, and mindfulness relaxation techniques. You might even get to the point where a wellbeing coaching approach is preferable.

The goal of our initial meeting is to establish a rapport and make working together enjoyable.

The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy has me as a registered, active member. I am properly insured and operate in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
