About me

I was drawn to counselling while working in HR, where I found that I had a natural gift for helping colleagues with work-related and personal issues. This led to four years study at Bristol University and in 2005 I was awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling.

I am now a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and on the BACP Register with over nineteen years of experience of working with clients.  I am also an Accredited Member of The National Counselling Society.

Since turning to counselling I have helped people with a wide range of issues including: anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement, abuse, PTSD, long and short-term injuries, critical illness and so many other presenting issues.

I practice person centred therapy both with couples, families and individuals which is a highly empathic, non-judgemental form of counselling. I am a strong listener with the ability to help unravel personal issues at your own pace and ensure that your safety is always paramount.

I offer face to face, online and telephone sessions.  My therapy rooms are based at:

Yellow Boat, 29 White Post Lane, London, E9 5EN

The Light Centre, Light Centre Monument, 36 St Mary at Hill, EC3R 8DU.

I really hope to hear from you soon.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
