About me

I am a Clinical Psychologist passionate about welcoming people with a range of backgrounds and life experiences into a therapy relationship which will help them to reach their goals, increase their understanding and make sense of their experiences.

I always aim to offer an understanding space in which we can explore the difficulties you are facing and think about the changes you are hoping to make. I bring warmth and experience in these conversations but every person I meet with is an expert in their own life and experience

I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience working in the NHS in a range of settings. I worked for 6 years in the NHS with children and families living with a child diagnosed with a range of health conditions and I am currently working with adults with a cardiac condition in the NHS. In addition I have extensive experience working with children, young people and adults with a range of difficult feelings including anxiety, depression, trauma and bereavement.  have also supported people who want space to understand themselves and their lives better or to work through relationship difficulties or other issues.

I work in a collaborative and integrative way - I draw on the range of evidence based models I have been trained within in order to work therapeutically in the best way for you. I have been trained in treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Systemic Family Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Narrative Therapy.

Finding the right therapist or psychologist to help you work towards your goals is an important choice and a powerful first step. I think it is important to make a therapy space feel safe and secure in order to build a relationship which can be trusting. If you think I could offer you the help you are looking for please reach out and contact me.

I draw on different therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Systemic Family Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Narrative Therapy.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
