Introductory session is £35. Regular sessions are £40. To be paid in advance.
I can see clients on a short, medium or long-term basis, depending on what suits them best and their life circumstances. I would normally see clients on a weekly basis, following an initial session where they can find out if counselling with me is right for them. This may move to fortnightly for longer term clients.
I would recommend a minimum of six sessions, but we can agree once the sessions are underway if you wish to extend the number of sessions.
It is not at all necessary to know in advance what you want to come to counselling to talk about, although if there is a single issue that you want to address, that is fine too.
As a gestalt counsellor, I may suggest using methods other than speaking to explore your feelings and thoughts or to help you process them. For example, we may use a basket of objects and talk about how different items you pick relate to your life or make you feel. If you don't feel comfortable with trying something out, we won't do it, or can stop it if you change your mind. The session is yours.
