Sally Davies CounsDip, MBACP (reg), BA Hons
Please note, I have very limited availability for new clients before 2nd September 2019. I am on holiday 13th July-4th August.
Do you feel stuck, anxious or depressed? Is life very challenging right now? Are you confused about where you are going or how you got here?
I offer a calm, welcoming and safe space to look at what is going on in your life. You may wish to make changes around a specific issue or relationship. But you also might want to look at long-standing behaviour that is no longer helpful, the past and your upbringing. Perhaps you simply wish to understand yourself better and need someone to listen and understand. I commit to working collaboratively with you at your pace, in a non-judgemental, supportive way.
I bring a warmth, curiosity and passion to my work but feel that humour is also important in a strong relationship. I have experience of working with people at all stages of life: students, pregnant women, mums, men, the elderly through counselling and yoga teaching.
I work with adults aged 18 up and appreciate the impact of isolation, depression and a feeling of being different to others. I work with gender, sexual and relationship issues, LGBTQI, and cultural difference. I also work with trauma and PTSD symptoms such as anxiety, self-harm, panic attacks and help build resources for you to feel safer in the world.
I understand that it is daunting finding a counsellor so we can meet for an initial session to discuss what you are looking for without commitment. I am based in Central Bristol near the Centre and Harbourside.
I also work in a university student counselling service and an agency with gambling addiction, and teach yoga for emotional wellbeing and mindfulness.
I am a registered member of BACP and am committed to ethical practice and confidentiality. I hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling from the University of the West of England which is also accredited by BACP. I hold relevant insurance.
