Sally Craig. Integrative Counsellor, CBT and Sand Play. MBACP
20 Courtenay Park Road
A warm welcome to my counselling practice.
People come to counselling for a broad range of reasons. I can offer you a confidential, compassionate and safe space in which to explore the challenges that you might be facing.
Counselling can help you if you are struggling with anxiety and depression or low self-esteem for example. You may have experience of current or historical traumatic events or abuse. Or you may have suffered a loss or bereavement. Counselling gives you the opportunity to gain deeper self-awareness and insight. It can help you with personal growth and development and guide you through transitional periods in your life. Whatever it is that is troubling you I welcome you to share it with me.
I am an Integrative Counsellor which means I have trained in several methods of counselling. You may have heard of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for example. Not all types of counselling feel right for everyone so I am able to work with you to find a way that feels comfortable for you.
I will gently support you to explore what is troubling you and help you to cope with uncomfortable or overwhelming emotions. Counselling can help you to build inner resources - practical tools for wellbeing - and develop healthy ways of coping. In my calm and caring environment, I hope you will be able to work towards improving your self confidence and self esteem, feel healthy and able to live a fulfilling life.

My background profession is Nursing and my extensive experience in this role has informed my counselling practice. I trained as a counsellor in 2012 and found the profession that fits my fascination with people, is caring and creative. Seeing a counsellor myself has helped me to face challenges within my own life and feel healthy and resourceful.
I work with people of all ages including young people over the age of twelve years. I have varied experience working in private practice, voluntary children's services, school and disability services.
