About me

By reading this, you have started your journey of self-discovery, to the changes you want to be.

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist; this type of therapy allows the freedom to take elements from different therapeutic approaches according to the individual needs of the client. Sometimes people find it difficult or uncomfortable to put their feelings into words, make sense of what they are going through and need help & support from someone outside of their personal life.

The therapeutic relationship is non-judgmental and a confidential relationship; where you will be free to be able to talk about whatever it is, concerning you. It is a space, where you will be accepted, valued and safe. Together we will explore your issues, re-build your self-confidence and self-worth, to enable you to take the responsibility for your own choices and make positive changes within your life. Therapy is tailored to your needs alone.

I offer individual counselling on an open-ended arrangement.

I can provide therapy that is culturally sensitive and culturally inclusive if needed by the individual. I am able to offer the counselling in either English or Urdu, giving the individual the flexibility to choose the language they are most comfortable with in expressing themselves.

Should you decide to have counselling, the first step would be to arrange an appointment by telephone or by email (saima@sitherapy.co.uk). This initial meeting is very important to allow you to discuss your particular concerns and what you need from counselling. The first appointment will provide us both the opportunity to get a sense of whether we could work together - this is an important factor in establishing a therapeutic relationship.

My counselling experience includes working with difficulties around:

  • RTA and other related accident claims
  • Relationships
  • Domestic abuse
  • Trauma
  • Depression
  • Isolation
  • Low Mood
  • Lack of self-esteem
  • Low Confidence
  • Anxiety and Stress
  • Domestic Abuse: emotional, sexual, mental or physical.
  • Bereavement or Loss
  • Sexual Abuse/Self Harm
  • Sleep Issue/Flashbacks
