About me

Hi, I'm Saeed, a UKCP accredited Psychodynamic Psychotherapist.

I am offering telephone and online treatment during the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown. I am working on different platforms such as Zoom, Skype or telephone.

I am aware that seeking help might not be easy. We all experience challenges and difficulties and wish to be able to work through them and move forward. Working together in an empathic, safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment, we can make sense of, and work through, the issues that brought you to therapy.

There are many reasons why people make contact with me. It may be depression or anxiety, relationship difficulties or break-up, sexual abuse, emotional distress or bereavement. You may be experiencing work-related stress, panic, low self-esteem, social anxiety, health anxiety, obsessive thoughts and feelings, difficulties following a trauma, phobias and other feelings that are hard to live with.

All those who contact me wish to talk about what concerns them and find a way to manage and overcome thoughts and feelings that are preventing them from leading enjoyable and fulfilling lives.

If you have any questions at all about how I can help, please do get in touch.

Training, qualifications & experience

My Approach:

I use a range of evidence-based psychological therapies in my treatment. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to explore and work on unhelpful thoughts and behaviour. I also use Psychodynamic Psychotherapy to work on past difficulties that have been triggered by present circumstances, and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) to specifically work on relationship difficulties.

My Experience:

I have years of experience working with adults of all ages in a wide range of short and long-term NHS mental health services. I have also worked in educational psychotherapy services offering psychotherapy to university students and staff. I am currently working in an NHS mental health service and also in private practice in Central and West London.

Prior to my training as a psychotherapist, I spent several years in creative industries working in different fine-arts, graphic-design and advertisement agencies in Canada. I also have many years of experience in management working in different industries in Canada and the UK. These experiences help me to relate to, and work through, conflict management, performance anxiety, workplace stress, loss of a healthy work-life balance and other work-related concerns, and how these difficulties could interfere with the personal life of an individual.
