About me

Welcome to counselling, I am Sadhana, a qualified counsellor offering a confidential and a safe environment to talk. Do you feel nobody understands you? In reality it is a difficult decision to come to talk about experiencing issues which are very personal and disturbing. I believe it's never too late to express. Indeed it is a beginning, coming with shuttered feelings that has left you anxious with unexpressed grief, keeping feelings all bottled up and come to counselling to understand what's happening to life, mind, body and soul.

During difficult times, if you are feeling trapped or struggling with your own thoughts and feelings, relationships or struggling with childhood experiences, affecting the present, I am here to listen and understand, to help you make a sense of life without judgment. Therapy can be healing and giving an amazing sense of relief about being heard and understood.

I consider each individual as unique with individual needs. I offer you the space and compassion, to open up and explore your feelings and emotions without fear or worry. I am here to help you to find the best way forward for you and will support you to make positive changes in your life.

An initial appointment gives you the chance to know what is available to you, I use variety of tools and methods available to suits you most to explore and express.

Training, qualifications & experience

I realised  that people around me opened up very easily about their difficulties and issues. So I decided to become a counsellor and completed Higher Education Diploma in Integrative Counselling. This period became a journey of self discovery and I personally benefited from the learning.

I had the opportunity to counsel in NHS setting in primary care and Domestic violence in Womens Aid. I have a long time experience working for a charity around bereavement where lots of other issues were brought up by the client. I work with clients from various multi-cultural background with varied age groups. I am culturally sensitive and understand the needs and expectation of different cultural groups. It is this unique relationship , and it is the opportunity to really be yourself and feeling empowered  that what  makes the difference.
