Intuition Counselling And Psychotherapy - Sabrina (Amma) Acheampong
Welcome, if you are reading this you are probably thinking about taking a step towards seeking help and may be struggling with something that you feel you can no longer tackle alone or maybe you just don’t feel like yourself, which is ok, it is not unusual and no one should have to face difficult situations on their own, I believe no one should have to suffer.
‘We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty’ - Maya Angelou
I am a holistic counsellor who has experience with both young people and adults in 1 to 1 and group settings, I have worked with clients on a long-term and short term basis. I currently work in an NHS funded counselling service where my clients are referred to me by the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust. I have proven successful results with my clients and feedback from NHS data has shown that I have a consistently high number of clients who have had positive changes during their sessions with myself.
I offer counselling over Zoom, telephone, email and instant messenger.
How can I help?
When I work with clients, I practice with a model that integrates a mixture of models and theories in order to meet different client needs taking into account your uniqueness as a person. I am a sensitive listener and my clients often feedback to me a real sense of being heard in our sessions and being made to feel comfortable straight away. I help my clients explore what it means to be autonomous and I work towards helping clients find their sense of empowerment in order to make positive changes in their lives I can engage with you to try and provide a deeper understanding of yourself whilst looking and listening to find meaning in the spoken and unspoken in our sessions. Together we can find coping mechanisms in a safe and non-judgmental environment and walk the journey together.
I appreciate the journey to finding the right counsellor can feel overwhelming (well done for making it this far), why not contact me for an informal chat?

MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
