Saaj Janjua (integrative pyschotherapeutic counsellor)
Hi my name is Saaj,
I have experience working with adolescents and individual adults in different settings, covering a vast range of psychological and emotional situations.
I work with people on a wide range of recognised problems, including anxiety, depression, confidence and self-esteem, anger, difficulties in relationships, sexual problems, addictions etc.
I also work with issues that are less easy to define - confusion and lack of direction, loss of joy or meaning in living, difficulties in relating to others, concerns about identity or sexuality.
I provide a confidential, home based 1-2-1 Psychotherapeutic counselling service, and on special occasions I travel to your premises for clients who need therapy but are unable to get to me (email me for further information). I am located in Leyton, East London. I am fully insured. My home practice is easily accessible from central London both by public transport and by car.
I believe that each person that comes to see me is a unique and valuable person, with their own story to tell and so I base my practice on each individual relationship being at the heart of the work. My aim is through dialogue and exploration, to assist and accompany an individual to become more aware of themselves and to gain a sense of autonomy. I feel it is important to form a collaborative partnership with each person, so that together, we can work through any painful or difficult issues which may be a stumbling block for positive change or development.
I myself, continue to strive towards positive growth. Professionally I continue to learn, attending lectures, courses and events related to my work. In doing this I continue to increase my own knowledge and keep up to date with the relevant skills and techniques that in turn help to ensure that you receive a good, well rounded and professional service.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Should you wish to go ahead with therapy, you will first be offered an initial assessment session. This is an opportunity to explore your needs and expectations of therapy, and get an idea of how we might work together to make some sense of your needs, and perhaps, find some way forward which has meaning for you.
Should you decide to continue with me, you will be offered weekly sessions at the same time each week for the duration of therapy.
