Ryan Nelis Registered MBACP, BSc Counselling & Psychotherapy
Hello, I'm Ryan, I would like to consider myself a down to earth individual with a lot of heart - I am BA qualified counselor/psychotherapist that offers support by giving you a confidential space to let loose and to unpack whatever brought you to seek counselling support.
My training has helped me to utilize different understanding of psychological therapies and human psychology to help you in a way that works for you. But most importantly, to listen and be present with you as a human being!
My main therapeutic experience has developed from working within a GP medical practice where I support a wide range of people with varying concerns from highly complex to mild mental health difficulties.
During the pandemic 2020 - I have set up counselling support via telephone and video call to provide ongoing counselling support.
Personal and professional experiences
My personal background and training interests include Grief and Bereavement, LGBT related struggles, Cultural concerns, Personal Identity related difficulties and, Adoption related issues.
Professional experiences outside of therapy have also involved working in crisis support, recovery work with people whom live with mental health conditions, and support work for elderly people across several years. Prior to this I have also worked in hospitality.
I offer face to face, telephone and video call counselling. Get in touch and I will try my best to get back to you asap.
Best wishes, Ryan

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
