About me
What brings you to counselling?
You may have found my page because you need help to work through the pain of a difficult relationship or break-up, the death of a loved one, or the stresses of your job.
Perhaps you're feeling stuck, anxious, overwhelmed and depressed - complex feelings, life changes and stresses racing through your mind, keeping you from getting a restful night's sleep or doing the things that bring you happiness.
There may be big questions you are wanting to work through around identity, sexuality, neurodiversity, gender, relationships, community and belonging.
How can I help you?
I truly understand that searching for the right therapist can be a daunting process, so I want to help paint a picture of what our sessions would look like together.
We will work together in a human-to-human way, initially building a supportive space of trust and safety for you, then working collaboratively towards your therapeutic goals. We will look to find more self-awareness, clarity and understanding of who you are and how you relate to others. With healing and growth at the centre of the work, I will work with you to overcome challenges and make sense of what is coming up for you emotionally. We will create space to explore your identity and true self, finding answers and supporting you to embrace the changes you've been wanting to make.
We might try some creative or mindfulness activities to look at your past experiences and how they have shaped you into the person you are today, all the while looking to strengthen your own inner therapist tools to give you more strength and confidence to work through life's challenges.
My specialism is working with people going through significant life changes, wanting to make sense of everything going on and find a sense of deeper meaning in their busy, sometimes overwhelming lives. Difficult changes in life coming from relationships, career, going through a diagnostic process (e.g. for Autism or ADHD), illness and grief bring up unprocessed emotions which need time and space to understand and manage. Some of the areas I have worked with in the past include:
- Mood/mental health: Anxiety, depression, stress, low mood, feeling sad, low self-esteem or low confidence, loneliness, trauma, perfectionism, fear, jealousy, guilt, shame
- Neurodiversity: Autism (and formerly Asperger's), ADHD, AuDHD, discovering neurodiversity in adulthood, going through the diagnostic process, learning difficulties
- Bereavement: Loss, grief, losing a parent
- Relationships: Affairs, attachment issues and disorders, abuse, endings, relationship diversity, LGBTQIA+, carer support, young carers, communication, social anxiety, relationships at work
- Health: Health anxiety, chronic illness (e.g. ME/CFS, Long Covid), living with disabilities
- Identity: Exploration of gender or sexuality, feeling lost, feelings of otherness, searching for community, spirituality, connection, sense of belonging
I believe we all have the capacity for growth, healthy change, and to love our wonderful authentic selves. I trust that my clients are the experts in themselves and their lives, providing a space that is inclusive and understanding of your differences. I work holistically, relationally and creatively, celebrating your unique individuality with care and respect.
Getting started
You will likely have questions you want to ask about counselling, so we would first meet for an initial 50-minute consultation (priced at £45) to talk through your needs and goals together and explore what it would look like to start working together.
If you would like to start working together, we would then meet at the same time and day each week for 50 minutes. We'll regularly check in with how you're finding the sessions and whether there is anything you feel we've missed that you'd like to be working on, to make sure you're getting the most from the work.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor, working holistically and relationally. The foundations of my work are in psychodynamic, mindfulness and existential therapy.
I tend to work creatively, finding activities and tools that really click with you as a person. I am also a certified Breathwork Instructor and enjoy working with the breath in counselling, if this is something you would like to include.
Prior to becoming a counsellor, I worked as a Wellbeing Coordinator in London, working with a rich tapestry of clients from all ages and backgrounds; enjoyed a few years of living and working overseas; and worked in schools and healthcare settings with people who had speech and language difficulties (such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, brain injury, stroke). My experience in life so far is a continued learning experience, rooted in helping people through difficult times.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
My specialism is working with clients who are at a significant crossroads in their life. Every session is shaped by my client's unique path, personal history and relationships - this means I work with a diverse range of experiences and issues.
I use creativity, breath and body language in my work fairly often, so long as it suits you and your therapy goals - these can say a lot about what we are going through that we might not be consciously aware of, and are also amazing tools for healing and growth!
