Rowena Podesta MNCS Accredited
Hi, I'm Rowena, I am a qualified person-centred counsellor working online. I welcome clients from all different cultures, ages, sexualities and walks of life.
Sometimes as we go through life, we find ourselves unable to cope with our feelings and thoughts. At times we can struggle with feelings of sadness, grief, loss, loneliness or isolation. We may have relationship problems with our families, partners and loved ones. I can offer you counselling for a variety of problems.
Feelings can intrude into our everyday life and can make us feel anxious, overwhelmed and lost, and this can lead to low self-esteem and self-confidence.
These feelings and thoughts can stop us enjoying life in the way we are truly meant to, and we start to feel that we are no longer able to manage on our own and are no longer in control of our lives. Particularly considering this pandemic, life has been challenging and you might be finding that issues and worries have come to the forefront of your mind.
Entering therapy can be the first step to changing your life.
You will learn more about yourself which will enable you to make positive change to your life. With this new understanding you will have clarity as to the causes of your problems and you will feel empowered to make change.
I work in a person-centred way which means I believe you have the tools internally to help yourself. I will help you find them, recognise them and then teach you how to use them. I feel passionate about empowering my clients so that they can move forward and lead a more fulfilled and happy life.
You need to feel comfortable with the counsellor you choose.
Therefore, at our first session we will explore your situation and see if we feel we can work together. It is essential that our relationship is right, and you feel able to talk to me and trust me to listen in a non-judgmental way. I do not charge for the first, getting to know each other, session.
Why Enter into Online Therapy?
If you have a disability, phobia or social anxiety which makes it hard for you to attend face to face counselling sessions, online counselling can be the perfect solution. You may find it hard to get to appointments or traveling arrangements are difficult or you may not want to be spotted entering a counsellors office, then please consider online counselling.
Online counselling has many benefits, it can be done in the comfort and privacy of your own home, at a time that is convenient to you, using a platform you are comfortable in using. I offer counselling via the telephone, Zoom or Teams.
I am here to support you and make your journey a pleasurable one, but more importantly one that you will be able to use for personal growth and fulfilment.
For the first session there is no charge - so please do get in touch.
