About me

Sometimes our lives can get very complicated which causes us distress. I believe that we have, within us, the resources to overcome these uncomfortable feelings. As a fully trained counsellor I will listen to you and help you to find your resources.

i am a member of the BACP and fully adhere to their Ethical Framework as well as being fully insured.

finding the right counsellor is the most important part of the process of understanding the powerful feelings that can become dominant in times of distress and I offer a free first session so you can see at first hand if 'we' can work together. Choosing the counsellor that feels like the right fit for you can be a daunting process and I can help you through this with personal recommendations of other trained counsellors with skills that are relevant to your circumstances if necessary.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a diploma in integrative counselling using various approaches that put you as a unique individual as the main component in our work together. Some approaches work better for some than others.

I have relevant training in:

  • Bereavement and Loss
  • Trauma
  • Anger and how to deal with Anger
  • Abuse ( both now and in the past)
  • Relationships
  • Anxiety
  • Self harm and Suicidal Thoughts
  • Depression
