Being a Psychotherapist and Social Worker are title protected professions.  Title protection and registration is in place to enable the public to have an informed understanding and expectation of the provision of service from appropriately qualified professionals who are eligible to hold that (or those) registration(s).

Our service also offers bespoke parenting consultations and parenting programmes to support families on their parenting journeys.  Ros has over 19 years experience working with children, young people, adults and families in a variety of settings, from statutory, private practice, state and private schools, through to the charitable sector. Ros is registered with BACP, UKCP, Social Work England and the Government of Jersey, and is a member of BASW.  ICAP Ltd and Ros adhere and work to these professional bodies regulatory ethics and codes of best practice.  We will also signpost/refer on and work collegiately with other appropriately registered and qualified professionals as indicated/and when our clinic is busy.  We work collegiately with statutory services when required, clinically indicated or requested.

Member organisations *

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
