About me

I am a Registered BACP and NCS  accredited Counsellor and trained in EMDR to level 3.

My counselling experience spans many years with the NHS primary care and IAPT service, private and voluntary sector.

I now offer counselling from my home where you can explore concerns confidentially in a more comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.

I have over 20 years experience of working as a counsellor within the NHS, voluntary and private sector working with a wide variety of concerns including all kinds of abuse, grief & loss, adjustment and other traumas which contributes to one feeling alone, lonely and often misunderstood.

I was co-trainer on the Certificate in Counselling Skills course for a number of years which included facilitating Personal Development groups for counsellor trainees.

Throughout a number of years within the NHS I facilitated a successful women's self-esteem and assertiveness group and co-facilitated male anger management groups.

I am trained in Counselling Supervision and have supervised counsellors for a number of years both privately and within the NHS.

I abide by the BACP ethical framework for the Counselling Professions and am committed to ongoing professional development.
