Hi, my name is Ron. I have been a Psychotherapist for ten years. I have considerable experience working in the private sector, charity based organisations and the NHS. I know how difficult and isolating it can be when faced with life's events that have overtaken you and left you in the depths of despair and unable to speak to anyone. I will offer complete confidential Psychotherapy and will find where the impasse is in your history that has led you to where you are now. This is deeper than counselling as I aim to repair the damage leading to permanent well being.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BA Hons and also an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy. I am also a Clinical Supervisor, holding a Diploma in Clinical Supervision. I began my journey working as a volunteer for SV2 (Formally Rape Crisis) which later led to being a contracted Therapist. I also worked for Derby Counselling Centre and latterly for the NHS. During this time I have also been in private practise.

Other areas of counselling I deal with
Although I have a wide range of therapeutic experience I specialise in adult survivors of childhood sexual and physical abuse. This is a life long battle and rarely one that just goes away. There are massive trust issues from this and whilst I understand that for a woman speaking to a male Psychotherapist is difficult is does bring rewards in a different way through respect and the realisation that not all men are abusers.
My fees are £40 per session for Psychotherapy and £50 per session for Clinical Supervision.
I can guarantee a private and confidential service where care and respect are paramount. I will always ensure that you are safe and will ensure you are in a reasonable place before you leave the sessions. I will make an initial assessment and then try to estimate how much work we need to do. I will also review the work on a regular basis to ensure you are getting what you need and not to waste money on unnecessary sessions.
