About me
As a qualified and MNCPS Acc.d person-centred counsellor who trained with Ocean Counselling, I work with clients offering online sessions in the local boroughs of Bromley, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark. The essence of providing online counselling is knowing that it will fit the needs of clients who face a variety of challenges. It also provides an option for those clients who have found it difficult to access in person sessions. I also offer the option of in-person counselling sessions.
Prior to qualifying as a counsellor, I worked extensively within a variety of educational settings where I provided holistic support to children, adolescents and parents/carers. As then, I continue to provide help in the form of counselling as I work with clients (adults and children) who face the daily challenges of work, school, life and family. My therapeutic approach is to create a safe environment so that clients feel comfortable to speak about the issues they face. Some of these issues are anxiety, stress, trauma, loss, addiction, bullying and depression. Working therapeutically and in partnership with clients to ascertain their goals and once identified cultivate a level of self-awareness which results in an improved sense of self-worth and care.
My experience of supporting clients in these areas is extensive and has resulted in growth in their personal and emotional well-being.
After an initial conversation, it is normal practice to undertake an initial assessment with clients which will provide the opportunity to establish whether we will be a good fit for each other and give you the chance to ask any questions you may have about counselling.

Further information
Before embarking upon my journey as a counsellor, I worked within a range of diverse educational organisations as a mentor, parental adviser and then teacher.
In every aspect of my day to day interactions with children, young people, parents and fellow professionals, I connect holistically and offer my services and support in a manner that benefits the individual or the group.
I am passionate about encouraging self-awareness, acceptance and growth. I believe these aspects of who we are are extremely important to consider. As a counsellor, I recognise that these same aspects are essential in promoting mental health well-being. Accessing counselling is a significant factor in promoting and managing mental health.
I provide clients with a calm and safe space to explore some of the day to day concerns which emerge throughout life. This can be done by reflecting on experiences, values and hopes for the future.
I have completed additional training in the following areas to support my work with clients:
Substance misuse and addiction
Loss and bereavement
Mental health and the body (Treating Trauma)
Anxiety
Online and telephone counselling
I have vast experience of working with vulnerable children and young people in a supportive framework and this will continue within my role as a counsellor.
I am an experienced NCPS member (accredited). I offer individual counselling sessions online and in person.
