Having worked with a number of different people in counselling I am happy to offer counselling for a wide range of personal concerns. Although I predominantly work with people with relational concerns and issues, I am happy to work with grief and bereavement, depression and anxiety, anger and stress, bipolar disorder, shizophrenia, and other diagnosed mental health concerns.
Working in Counselling and Employee Assistance Programs I have experience and understanding of both short term and long term counselling and offer a mixture of both dependent on a case by case basis.
Where I work from...
I use a comfortable local therapy room offering a relaxing low key environment.
The location has off road parking and accessibility for you none drivers by local public transport routes. The 263 bus stops just outside the building.

Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Salford University. A Cert(He) in Psycologicsl Studies. And have various certificates in Egan's Skilled Helper Model, CBT Methods, Grief and Bereavement, Couple and Family Counselling, Crisis Counselling and Stress Management.
And I am looking at furthering my experience and training via carrying out a Masters in Counselling in September.
Presently I have a number of years experience working in counselling and psychotherapy. Where I have been helping people with a wide variety of personal and emotional concerns. As a counsellor it is my task to help you to build trust, increase your self awareness and help you to work towards a better level of self fulfilment.
Here I work towards helping you to achieve a hieghtened sense of inner fullfillment and experience, where you control the pace and the direction of your counselling. Working with a wide range of people of all ages, I try to offer an accepting and warm therapy experience.

Other areas of counselling I deal with
I also offer monthly networking opportunities for like minded professionals. This is ran on either the first Monday or first Wednesday of the month on an alternating basis. The meetings have been a huge success and it currently boasts over 10 regular visitors.
I'm currently also training in Bookkeeping so that I can offer a bookkeeping service to counsellors and psychotherapist who are self employed. This is part of my mission to make Psychotherapy Altrincham a fully integrated service for Counsellors and the public alike.

£40.00's per hour
£20.00's per hour (for students training in counselling or on a low income).
As well as my counselling experience and training I also work as an Academic Support Worker and One to One Mental Health Mentor with Students at Universities in Manchester. This has enhanced my experience and allowed me greater access to a wide range of different and unique experiences. This has made me more able to work with students in a counselling as well as a mentoring way through people's studies and problems.
