About me

Hi my name is Rob, I am a qualified counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I studied for a degree in Counselling at Hull University and gathered a wide range of skills and experiences with both Adults and Children whilst practicing with Charitable organisations.

I am currently working as a Self Employed Counsellor for the Mental Health Charity MIND where I receive referrals from across Hull and East Yorkshire. I am a highly skilled and knowledgeable using a Person-Centred Approach within Practice which means that I will be listening only to how you feel, which will be different for everybody because I believe that every person is unique and you will have your own way of dealing with the way you feel. I believe you are the expert on yourself.

With the experience I have gained I have the expertise to integrate approaches to help People with various presenting issues, this means i will ensure the sessions meet your individual needs and use my skills according to what may suit you and your presenting problem. I have a high amount of experience working in areas including Anxiety and Depression, Bereavement, Relationship problems, Trauma, domestic violence, sexual abuse, addiction, self-harm. Whatever the problem maybe, I am compassionate and caring person whose strengths lie in building relationships with the desire to help people with their unique problems, so you can begin to live your life to your full potential. I provide a Caring, Compassionate , Confidential, Professional and Ethical Counselling service to both adults and children aged from 10 through to adults.
