About me

Hi, my name is Richard, and through Face to Face, Online or Walk & Talk counselling, I can help you find a way to live the life you want.

I offer support with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, anger management, addiction, low self esteem, and relationship problems. You might feel like you're not OK and want to talk about it. Maybe you just want someone to actually listen to YOU for a change?

I combine a Humanistic Integrative approach with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in a relatable, easy to understand way, that focuses on helping you to find your voice rather than listening to mine.

Whatever is troubling you, I can offer a relaxed, safe and confidential space to help you overcome your obstacles and challenges. I believe life is too short to be unhappy. Let me give you the tools to deal with your problems, and help you explore, understand and overcome your challenges.

Get in touch today, and let's talk about how I can help you transform your life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered member of the National Counselling Society and sit on a professional register accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and Level 5 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

In addition to this I have over 12 years experience in the health and social care sector, working with the NHS, local authority Adult Services, Public Health, charities and private care providers on the management and delivery of a wide variety of care, support and mental health services.

I also regularly undertake continuing professional development and professional supervision to ensure my practice as a therapist is safe and ethical in accordance with the requirements of my professional registration.
