About me

Hello and welcome to my profile. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or struggling with the weight of past experiences, I provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space where you can explore these challenges at your own pace. Working together, we will strive to uncover the root causes of your concerns, helping you gain clarity, build resilience, and explore strategies for change. My goal is to support you in feeling more empowered, connected, and able to move forward with greater confidence and peace of mind in your everyday life.

As a humanistic counsellor, I believe that each person has the inner strength and capacity to overcome their challenges, and my role is to support you in  rediscovering that potential within yourself. My approach is collaborative, warm and flexible, in order you us to work together in a way which feels right for you.

Having a background in the arts enriches my counseling practice by offering a unique perspective on human experience and expression. The creative process is deeply intertwined with emotional expression and self-discovery, and draws on skills like empathy, active listening, and an appreciation for diverse perspectives—all of which are essential in therapy. This experience helps me understand and connect with clients who have creative or unconventional ways of viewing the world. It also enables me to appreciate the nuanced and complex emotions clients may bring to sessions, and to support them in exploring their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors.

As a Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), with specific training in anxiety, depression, grief, bereavement, suicide, and LGBTQIA+ issues, I am dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space for all individuals. I’m here to offer compassionate and professional support as we gently explore your unique challenges, ensuring you feel heard and supported to live a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
