Well-Being is the Integration of What We Do, Think and Feel.
NOTICE: During this difficult and uncertain time I am suspending face to face sessions as a safeguard for the safety and wellbeing of current and future clients during the COVID-19 crisis. I will therefore offer online coaching an counselling including phone sessions. In the future when the government announces the ending of self isolation I will continue to offer face to face sessions along with online and phone sessions.
As an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, my work is informed by various psychotherapeutic theories which include: Interpersonal Neurobiology, CBT, Gestalt, Existential, Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I have experience working with trauma, ADHD, attachment difficulties, bullying, bereavement, life transitions, depression, anxiety and panic disorders.
Forming a collaborative, therapeutic relationship enables us to create a safe, trusting and open way of working together. Studies have shown that the relationship between therapist and client, more than any other factor, determines the effectiveness of therapy in enabling you to bring about the change you want to achieve.
My approach also involves gaining an understanding of four dimensions of your life, which include:1) a sense of self; 2) relationships & family dynamics; 3)physical well-being; 4) the living and working environment. These four dimensions help to inform how you understand and live your life.
I can work with you to:
• manage difficult periods in your life including anxiety, depression and panic attacks
• develop greater insight, confidence and resilience
• make sense of past traumatic experiences
• overcome fears and insecurities
• work towards solutions that are right for you

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Counselling is not a quick fix. The process involves time to establish a therapeutic relationship in order to explore your concerns in depth.
Coaching focuses upon a working alliance working on your specific goals.
