I am a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor (BACP registered), based in the Chester/Ellesmere Port area. I work principally within a person centered therapeutic modality, but I also employ strategies and interventions, where appropriate, from the C.B.T. (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and from T.A. (Transactional Analysis) modalities. I can offer both short and long term therapy with adult and younger clients and my primary focus of therapeutic work resolves around family relationships and dynamics; mild depression and anxieties; body dismorphia; low self-esteem and confidence; phobias; sexuality and trauma. I can offer both one-to-one therapeutic sessions from Little Sutton and I can also offer telephone therapy work.
I work from a safe and comfortable office room in Little Sutton. Free parking is available nearby. If you would like further information or wish to contact me, please do email my work email address (therapy). I will aim to respond to your email message as promptly as possible.
+ Please note that due to the current Covid-19 national health situation and regulations, I will not be able to see face -to-face clients if someone is showing Covid-19 symptoms and/or have been in recent contact with someone who has been diagnosed with/or showing symptoms of Covid-19. If this is not the case, I am able to see clients on a face-to-face basis, taking into consideration all relevant and necessary good hygiene and social distancing measures, which will be adhered to at all times in the counselling room. The counselling room will also be thoroughly sanitized on a regular basis.
Thank you for reading my profile and I wish you all the very best in your search, personal exploration and journey.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have currently 3 years post qualification experience as a psychotherapist and counsellor. I successfully gained my initial Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the University of Bangor. I am a qualified teacher and I have over 4 years experience working therapeutically with young people.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Fees may be subject to sliding scales (this can be further discussed); although the principal hourly rate is £40/hour (for an initial six sessions of therapeutic work. This would be for both one-to-one and for telephone/Zoom therapeutic work). A reduced hourly rate of £30/hour is offered for young person's counselling (11yrs -17yrs) and £50/hour for couples counselling.
Please do feel free to email me to enquire further about this service and if you would like to schedule an initial 30 minute phone consultation thereafter (the initial assessment is not billed). This is a useful and important way in which we can discuss and explore how we could work together in our therapeutic work and for you to ask any questions you may have. Please contact by emailing: email@example.com.
Thank you for visiting my page and warmest regards,
