About us
One in four people struggle with a mental health illness at some point during their life. This can be overwhelming, and incredibly difficult to face alone. I offer a confidential, professional, and non judgmental environment for you to explore potential traumas and life experiences you have been through. By doing so together this can help you find ways to manage, improve, and enhance emotional wellbeing.
In my experience of working with clients I have found that communication has usually been undervalued within their lives. I believe that when people begin to express authentically how they are feeling, and what they’ve experienced, communication can hold real power in healing. This can be from finding managing techniques and coping mechanisms that work uniquely to the individual. We can also explore potential changes with-in their life, environment, patterns and behaviours. A client’s autonomy and self-determination is always held in high regard. Acceptance can feel distant and difficult to reach independently, by offering a supportive and non-judgemental environment this enables clients to explore how they are feeling and find a true sense of self.
I have particular interest and extensive experience of working with clients around relationship issues, trauma related issues, depression and anxiety. I have completed a couples counselling course, and am able to offer therapy to couples and families.
I am a trained person-centred supervisor, so please contact me if you are a counsellor or student counsellor interested in supervision.

Member organisations *

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
