About me

Sometimes life can be challenging and it is perfectly normal that sometimes we struggle to make sense of our circumstances or even our world. I am trained to help you through this, however I realise that finding a Counsellor with whom you can connect and work can be a daunting and confusing experience, as there are a wide variety of styles and approaches to choose from.

As a Counsellor my approach is Humanistic.  Simply put this approach deals with the ways in which individuals perceive themselves consciously rather than how a counsellor can interpret their unconscious thoughts or ideas.

I believe in providing an honest, trusting and confidential service and pride myself on the care and attention I give to my clients.

I have chosen the Humanistic approach as I feel it provides the client with an opportunity to use creativity to explore various options to help their personal growth and self-development. My aim is to walk alongside you while we work together to provide a deeper understanding of who you are, what you feel and to help you find your own choices by encouraging self-awareness and self-realisation.

I hold:

  • Foundation Degree Arts in Integrative Counselling - Worcester University

  • School Counsellor - St Luke's High School - Counselling 11-16s (Current)

I am a member of the BACP and hold a clear DBS and Professional Liability Insurance.

I have experience in working in a charity low-cost counselling service and private practice providing long term counselling to individuals struggling with issues such as unemployment, relationship breakdown, violations through sexual exploitation, low confidence, high levels of anxiety, domestic violence against men and women, parenting issues and many other personal challenges.

In addition to Counselling, I offer Personal Development, aimed at anyone who is interested in making improvements to their situation, work environment or gaining self awareness.  This is particularly helpful for business owners or executive management, but can be helpful to anyone who is looking to gain more self awareness or focus on work on the self.
