About me

Hello, I'm Renata, I support individuals and couples through a range of sexual challenges and interests aiming at enhancing pleasure, improving sex life and relationships. The main issues I can help with are difficulties related to performance anxiety, painful sex, vaginismus, sexual desire, erections, ejaculation, sexuality and gender expression, alternative sexual preferences, compulsivity and more.

Working together

In our work together, we’ll explore what’s behind the difficulties you’re facing. Feelings of shame, guilt and fear can be common. I offer empathetic, open-minded, and non-judgmental support. I will guide you towards noticing your feelings and what creates them, understanding how the past may be affecting you today and learning practical strategies to move forward. We will focus on psychosexual therapy to enhance your sex and intimate life, whether this means recognising your own needs and boundaries, working on communication with your partner, or reconnecting with your body's sensations.  My approach combines evidence-based talking therapy, sexology and somatic principles of bringing awareness to the body. The goal is to work towards fulfilling relationships and more satisfying life.

About me

As a qualified and experienced counsellor, I have vast experience in supporting clients struggling through trauma and sexual abuse. Currently, as a trainee psychosexual therapist, I solely work with sex, intimacy and relationship-related issues.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counseling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a students member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and I adhere to their code of ethics. My work is subject to regular supervision, and I constantly improve my qualifications through ongoing training.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
