I provide a bespoke service offering individual counselling ,couple counselling and family counselling. I treat a wide range of problems including depression, relationship issues, anxiety, long term illness such as CFS, eating disorders, alcohol and drug abuse, PTSD, post natal depression, work related stress and others.I believe the counsellor client relationship is key to providing you with the ability to change in a safe and secure environment. Together we can form a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs. I have worked with clients between the ages of 7years and 78 years.I provide low cost counselling as I feel nobody should be excluded from counselling due to their finances
Training, qualifications & experience
I have been working as a counsellor since 1995. I qualified with a BSc (Hons) in psychology in 1995 and worked at a residential eating disorders clinic before moving to work in primary mental health in 1996. During which time I studied part time and received an MSc in applied psychology in 1998. I worked in primary mental health for 10 years treating a wide range of problems including depression, drug abuse, eating disorders, post natal depression, work stress, relationship issues, physical and sexual abuse, anxiety and many more. I have a diploma in CBT and have certificates in couple counselling and bereavement counselling. I have completed a course in mindfulness and have a diploma in nutrition I am a professional accredited counsellor with the NCS I worked for Macmillan from 2014/16 supporting people with cancer and their families, providing both individual, couple and family counselling. I have a very personal interest in cancer and therefore I really do know what it is like. I also do group work helping people learn to deal with stress using many techniques including relaxation.My special interests are eating disorders, relationship issues, bereavement, terminal illness, long term health problems and child counselling. These are due to personal or family experience of these so I can really empathise and understand.I believe that the counsellor client relationship is key to working on your issues and making changes. I provide a safe and secure environment that will enable you to openly talk about and evaluate your situation and what needs to be done to change it.

My fees are £30 for face to face sessions
£25 for telephonic/video call
£35 for companies and medical insurance
I want counselling to be something most people can afford. my hours are flexible, I can offer evening sessions as well as day .There is plenty of parking and I am easily accessible by bus. Babies up to six months may accompany their parent(s) if necessary. There is a play area with in the counselling room. Cancellation policy : If you need to cancel a session then you need to give 24 hours notice. If you do not do this or you fail to attend you will be charged for that session.
