Welcome to Calm Water Counselling. My name is Rebecca and I offer general counselling for many kinds of difficulties. We can all feel a bit overwhelmed sometimes by what life throws at us. With counselling I can help you through these difficult times by providing face to face, online or telephone counselling support.
I am a qualified & experienced Person Centred Counsellor and I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds. I have a Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and as well as providing face to face therapy I am also qualified to work online and over the telephone so my service is flexible in order to suit your needs and lifestyle. Home visits can also be arranged if required and I hold an up to date DBS record check.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
I also currently volunteer as a counsellor for AGE UK and have done for the past 3 years which I thoroughly enjoy.
I am passionate about the service I offer, and I try to create an atmosphere that enables you to feel relaxed and therefore enable you to be open, honest and for you to safely and confidentially explore what’s on your mind.
Initially I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation where we can discuss your needs and see if counselling is the right step forward for you before any commitment is made.

- 3 years experience volunteering with AGE UK Warwickshire
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
