About me

**Relational Developmental Counselling and Psychotherapy** Offering FACE TO FACE, WALK & TALK  and ONLINE therapy

My garden office is in Wythall and my outdoor practice takes place whilst walking around Earlswood Lakes and Clowes Wood.

Would you like to talk to a supportive person who can help you to navigate and make sense of difficult feelings, thoughts and emotions? Are you seeking self-discovery, or in need of a supportive space to process your life experiences?

I provide a non-judgemental, safe and nurturing environment from where you can be vulnerable and be heard. We will explore what is important to you, whilst developing your personal awareness. I believe healing often comes from understanding the past and being mindful in the present, enabling us to grow towards a more positive future.

I have experience of working with issues that include depression, anxiety, overwhelm (stress), low self-esteem, ADHD, autism, relationship difficulties, grief, long term ill health, disability, exclusion, racial abuse, trauma, post natal anxiety/depression and bullying. If you are having issues that are not listed here please do still get in contact to see if I can help.

I fully appreciate how difficult this first step can be and so invite you to book an introductory video call with me to get a feel for me, and to ask any questions. I also have a website you can take a look at.

Research has proven that nature has a powerful ability to calm the mind, reduce stress and support emotional well-being. As a lover of the outdoors and nature, I am passionate about offering the combination of contact with nature with counselling, as and when desired. I believe integration of the mind and body can lead to optimal health.

I hold a postgraduate diploma (Level 7) in Integrative Psychotherapy and am currently in my final stages of MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy with the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute. I also have a Level 3 CPCAB certificate in counselling.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
