About me

I am a qualified Person Centred Counsellor offering a professional, confidential, caring, respectful and non judgmental environment for my clients to explore and process areas of their lives that may be preventing them from moving forward, gaining peace and getting the best out of life.

I have experienced first-hand, the immensely life-changing power of the Person-Centred Therapy.  I have moved forward from fear and passivity into quietly confident assertiveness, which has affected my life extremely positively.  I had felt valued and prized by my own counsellor who had been there, throughout my training, to simply help me make the changes I chose to make.  This has become my philosophy.  I totally trust those with whom I work, to know where it hurts and how to find healing.  My role is to be a faithful companion, to help my clients empower themselves and to facilitate these clients to make changes and to heal themselves.

I am fully committed to my clients needs and their emotional health and well being is of upmost importance to me. I believe it is extremely important that you the client are aware that Counselling is not by any means a quick fix, it is a process which can take time and hard work, looking at things from your life which can be painful and scary, but I do promise that I will support you through that journey and help to hold a safe and open space for you to work at your pace in order to meet your goals. The freedom that comes from within is most certainly worth the work.

I have worked with issues such as bereavement, trauma, suicide, anxiety, stress, depression, rape + sexual abuse, domestic violence, relationship problems, low self esteem and confidence, alcohol and substance misuse, addiction, relationship problems and many more.

My work and sessions are all tailor made to my clients or groups individual needs, to ensure that you get the maximum benefits you desire.

I am a member of the BACP and I adhere to their Code of Conduct and Ethics. I also hold personal indemnity insurance from Towergate and I hold an enhanced DBS check.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
