About me

As a counsellor, it is my purpose to help you find the easiest way to navigate difficult relationships and life situations. Working with me can help you deepen your understanding of what you are experiencing, and in turn, this broader perspective allows you to find your way through. This journey starts when you choose to be honest with yourself about what you've been through, how it's affecting you and how you relate to others. This sounds simple but can be challenging. I offer a safe space for you to start exploring the fuller version of you at a pace that feels right for you.

I am a qualified Person Centred therapist. I also specialise in trauma work, relationship difficulties and raising self-esteem.

Choosing to start therapy can often feel daunting, even when you know it can really be of benefit. As a counsellor I am aware of the apprehension you may feel and will do my best to put you at ease. I meet every single person where they are at, and that's where we can start :)

What type of counselling will I receive?

I offer person-centred therapy as my main approach in counselling. Person-centred therapy is based on humanistic philosophy, and advocates that where fundamental human qualities such empathy, compassion, transparency, non-judgement and gentle curiosity are present with clients, the capacity for personal development is attainable.

How many sessions will I need?

For some clients they may only need a few sessions, for others, longer term therapy may be the best option. This is unique to each individual and the aspects of their life they wish to work on.
I offer short and long term therapy, and carry out reviews with my clients, where we can assess where you think you are at and how beneficial you are finding the sessions. You are free to discontinue therapy at any time, although I recommend that when you feel it is time for you to end therapy that you discuss this with me and that we have an ending session.

How long is each counselling session?

Each counselling session will last 1 hour.

How much will counselling cost?

Each session costs £40

I also offer a discounted rate for students and those who are unemployed. This can be negotiated in our initial consultation.

How do I book an appointment?

Call or text: 07749159244
Or email me.

When will my appointments take place?

In our initial session we can arrange to meet on times and days that are most suitable for you. Appointments will usually be on the same day at the same time each week, however this is negotiable depending on your circumstances and schedule.

What if I can't attend my appointment?

If you cannot attend your appointment for any reason please contact me as soon as possible. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be charged the full rate for the session.
