I am a integrative Counsellor who can offer you various different counselling approaches and techniques. I can offer you my professional knowledge and experience and together we can work through your issues.
Training, qualifications & experience
I deliver my Counselling approaches integrative, tailing my skills to your needs. My base is Person-centred, which means I can offer you the core conditions such as, empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence. However, I believe we all need a different type of therapy at different aspects in our life. My aim is to give my clients the appropriate tools and techniques to help them with their current situations and to help with future situations. I am also very passionate about neuroscience, and how our brain works and how it responds to stress, trauma, which I like to educate my clients on.
I believe we all have the ability to be our highest happiest self. Sometimes we can get 'stuck' in life and we can lose direction of who we are and what we want to do. The person we are today is all down to how we choose to think and behave each day, which can be a result of our past or attachment style. With my help, we can work through this together.
Have you ever been truly listened to and heard? The first step in our healing journeys is for our story's to be told and heard. I am here to listen to you without any judgment and with complete empathy. Then we can work through these issues together with my professional guidance, education, skills, techniques, tools and unconditional positive regard.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
