Rebecca Dolbear MA, Dip HIP, UKCP Registered Psychotherapist
How can therapy help you?
Are you suffering and struggling? Perhaps with stress, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, addiction, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, loss/bereavement, trauma or physical/emotional abuse? It can feel a very lonely and painful place. Maybe you just want to be listened to? Maybe you want to try and understand why you feel how you do? It can really help to talk things through in a safe, confidential space, knowing you are accepted, understood and cared for. Through this relational experience it can often be possible to find new perspectives, courage and hope for a way through difficulties.
How I work
I work with compassion, care, empathy and warmth and am committed to staying alongside you in your struggles. I will support you as together we strive to reach a deeper understanding of yourself. I offer short and longer-term therapy.
Psychotherapy is about much more than just talking....the root meaning of this word is healing of the soul. So I seek, through my relational approach, to understand the whole of you in your particular life context.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist. I trained at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling, a leading and highly regarded training organisation. I am a registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and have been in private practice since 2012.
Prior to establishing my own practice I worked as a therapist within a voluntary agency alongside people struggling with addictions, anxiety and depression.
