Rebecca Cockerill MBACP
I offer professional, non-judgemental, empathetic counselling in a supportive and confidential environment to enable you to explore any issues you feel are affecting you.
Building upon my experience as a teacher and now a qualified experienced counsellor, I am able to offer a flexible individualised counselling approach from age 13 upwards. I work using an integrative approach which enables us to work together to find a suitable counselling style that suits you.
I work in a local Sixth Form College offering counselling to teenagers aged 16 to 19 and I have experience of working in the NHS, having been an Honorary counsellor for the NHS Surrey and Borders Partnership Youth Counselling Service, part of Mindsight CAMHS (Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services), based in GP surgeries.
I also work with adults on many issues in various ways but the focus is always you, as the client, and what you would like to talk about in your sessions. In the short term, we can work together using counselling techniques to support you to find some coping mechanisms to improve and alleviate your symptoms, and in the longer term, explore and identify the possible underlying cause(s) to help gain a greater understanding of your what you are feeling- to support, nurture and empower you. Reflecting on your feelings and life experiences may be difficult but, by doing so in a supportive environment, you may be able to make your life more manageable, balanced and fulfilled.
I have a private practice based in Fleet, Hampshire offering flexible appointment times and have an Enhanced DBS check on an update service.
If you would like to get in touch, then I will look forward to hearing from you and we can arrange a chat to organise a way forward.
