When did it begin?
In 1999 I began my training, and four years later I qualified as a psychotherapist-counsellor.
simce then I have been gaining new experience in different work settings and new therapies.

So How does it work?
Counselling does not always have to be long term, sometimes a few sessions can be enough.
It can be flexible, available when you need it.
In the initial assessment session I aim to understanding what has brought you, and identify what is needed for you to empower you to take control of you life
At the end of the session we can book another appointment, or you may decide to book little later on
Where I am:
I work within walking distance of the Southend, Westcliff, and Prittlewell stations, the London Road, A13 is only a few minutes away.
At my practice I offer counselling in a safe, relaxed environment, it’s a space where the client can feel at ease.

So to summarise....
Counselling is the client and the therapist coming together to find a way forward
Sessions last an hour, family counselling will be longer.
The number of sessions can be as many or as few as required, and although continuity is important we can spread them out if that’s more convenient.
Counselling can help by simply being able to talk freely in a safe environment; it is often called 'The Talking cure'.
Many people internalise their problems, often not knowing where to turn, then often feeling relief on being able to share with another.
