‘then why can’t you do it’? Replied the monk

Hello, this is a little about me

I hope here you will get all the information you need. if you have any more questions please feel free to get in contact with me.

I am based in Westcliff. I started to work privately a couple of years ago, I wanted to offer a counselling service that was simple, easy to understand, and down to earth.

I Qualified Psychotherapist/counsellor 18 years ago.

So why choose me amongst the many counsellors out there?

I'm open minded and realise the uniqueness of a person

I am able to visit you at home if you are unable to visit me through either illness or disability.

I am realistic, down to earth and never have expectations Of others, I am non judgemental

I have experience of working within a school framework with young people and adolescents.

I am experienced in family counselling, couple counselling and individual therapy.

I have a full and updated DBS that I am happy to provide.

When did it begin?

In 1999 I began my first steps in counselling training.

what was it like ?

Not always easy, lots of soul searching and self discovery.

But eventually

I Qualified as a psychotherapist-counsellor, then I really began to learn, continuing my personal development, work shops, courses, and oftenlearning from you, the client.

So to summarise....

Counselling is the clients and the therapist coming together to find a way forward

Sessions last an hour, family counselling will be longer.

The number of sessions can be as many or as few as required, and although continuity is important we can spread them out if that’s more convenient.

Counselling can help by simply being able to talk freely in a safe environment; it is often called 'The Talking cure'.

Many people internalise their problems, often not knowing where to turn, then often feeling relief on being able to share with another.

and finally ...
