About me

Hi, my name is Rebecca and I am here to help you with anything you may be struggling with day-to-day. You may be going through a life changing experience, feeling anxious about a difficult relationship, or maybe you feel that life leaves you lost, confused, inadequate or excluded.

I can help you with exploring your thoughts, feelings, and behaviour, so you can better understand why you feel the way you do. I can also help you explore other ways of understanding and ways of approaching your difficult situation, to reveal a new way of coping that eases your burden.

I practice person-centred therapy.

It is a non-directive approach which means that I will support you in discovering your own path, without telling you what you do or giving you any homework. Through openness and providing a warm welcome, I aim to provide an environment in which you can come to feel safe, so you can share what is troubling you, free from fear of judgement or control.

Working together, we can improve your confidence in meeting the challenges life throws at you - please get in touch or give me a call to arrange your free initial telephone call.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at the University of Nottingham, part-time from 2016 - 2020, and hold an MA Person-Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I have 2 years experience of working with clients privately and at an independent counselling clinic, and I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
