About me

Acknowledging that we need help and support can sometimes be a difficult and overwhelming experience. However, I believe that we all have the ability and power to take charge of our lives, even though at times we may feel stuck and helpless to do so. My aim would be to provide you with a safe place to explore issues you may find difficult. Whilst there are no ‘magic’ solutions, I would work alongside you, in a confidential and non-judgemental manner, to support you in achieving your goals at your own pace. I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology, and as a qualified integrative counsellor (Higher National Diploma in Counselling) I adopt a humanistic (person centred), psychodynamic (childhood and/or past experiences) and cognitive behavioural approach (CBT - exploring the relationship between thoughts and feelings). I would tailor my method to your individual needs and circumstances.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
