About me
Let’s begin by taking a long breath out (or a sigh) and give the body a signal for calm.
It's not always an easy process finding a counsellor, so take your time and feel free to get in touch if you have questions.
How I work
I am an integrative therapist and coach, which means I am trained in a number of approaches including person-centred, Gestalt, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and can work with you in a tailored way using a range of tools.
I have supported people with a range of needs and issues including exploring and understanding:
- anxiety,
- depression,
- bereavement,
- feelings of low self worth.
- culture,
- gender,
- ideas of home
- ancestral connection
I have trained in including art, spirituality and more in therapy, offering a range of tools and creative approaches for working in your context, culture and experience of the world. I lean towards longer term open-ended work.
I am also a life coach and we can integrate this into our work if this feels helpful for you.
I have an interest in and have worked with people from the queer community and those who are black and brown, recognising the context of systemic discrimination and the strengths of culture and community.
What sessions with me look like
You will generally do most of the talking and I will help to facilitate the space and time so that you can reflect, let things sink in and connect with what feels right for you as a next step. I work collaboratively, and will always ask how you would like to use the space, and whether we're on track with your aims.
Sessions may involve (but are definitiely not limited to):
- Sharing your experience.
- Developing understanding and strategies that are right for you.
- Working with the past, present and future .
- Exploring your identity.
- Understanding your context, and resources.
- Understanding your relationships with family, friends, colleagues, and ancestors as relevant.
- Exploring feelings and thoughts in the body.
- Crying, laughing and all the emotions between.
- Drawing, painting and other creative methods.
- Visualisation and exploring metaphors.
I'm here, right by your side, in a confidential space with protected time so you can safely share and navigate your experiences in the depth that feels comfortable for you.
I will hear you without judgement, understand your challenges, and your needs and support you to take the steps you feel are right for you.
What next?
I'll end here by inviting you to take another long out breath (or a sigh) and give the body a signal for calm.

Training, qualifications & experience
Postgraduate Certificate in Integrative Counselling and Coaching, using the Personal Consultancy model, at the University of East London.
I developed my early helping skills, knowledge and experience over 15 years of working in homelessness, addiction, criminal justice and community charities. I thoroughly enjoyed the 1:1 support, the connection with the people I worked with, the potential for change and the incredible difference when it happened.
I believe in an intersectional approach and am passionate about seeing you in the fullness of your identity, within your community, culture, society and experience of the world.
I like to work creatively and invite your ways of thinking, processing and engaging with the world.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
