About us
* PLEASE NOTE : I AM OFFERING ONLINE & TELEPHONE COUNSELLING DURING THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC.
Rapport Therapy Service provides confidential specialist assessment and treatment to individuals and couples who are experiencing psychological and emotional distress. It also provides a consultation service to those who may be concerned or worried about their own mental health or perhaps a close member of the family. The aim of the service is to provide Psychotherapy and Counselling to those who may be experiencing difficulty getting the right kind of help at the right time, and who may wish to explore what therapeutic choices are available for the specific circumstance
Our way of working is described in therapy parlance as “integrative” but in straightforward terms, this means that one size does not fit all. In other words, the therapist uses a knowledge of various theoretical approaches to select the most useful way to work with a person, again depending upon the particular circumstances. What works for one person may not work as well for another, and it can be insensitive and potentially counterproductive to try and fit an individual into a therapy that is too rigidly defined and implemented just for the sake of it.
